Cooper

17 week old Lab mix

Cooper was 6 weeks old when he was surrendered to FNSB Animal Shelter. He, and his brother Bradley, immediately went into a foster home with one of our great foster families! He is now 17 weeks old with an unstoppable force of play and puppy energy. He catches on to new tricks very quickly and loves to learn.

Cooper would do well with a furry sibling to model good behavior after and to help expend some of his energy. He is grasping the basics of potty training, kennel training and simple house manners. He has been exposed to feline friends and attends puppy socials at Pawsitive Dog Training where he can practice safe play and have healthy dog interactions.

Cooper is a follower not a leader, but with a little encouragement and positive reinforcement, he settles quickly. Cooper can be intimidated by new places and people, but, of course, the way to this young man's heart is food so he is easily and happily bribed into friendships. Cooper is a huge cuddle bug and loves to snuggle up and nap on the couch after a day of romping around. A part of Cooper's success is having responsible doggie advocates to model himself after and would love to go to a home with a new sibling to look up to.
