2 yr old Golden Retriever / Lab Mix

This handsome fella was surrendered to the Fairbanks North Star Borough Shelter after his previous owners decided he was no longer a good fit for their young family. He’s a big cuddle bug and has every intention of exploiting couch time with you as often as possible. He loves to play and does well with other dogs.

Colby is kennel trained and has been in a home environment before, proving himself to be potty trained. Due to his age and energy levels, we recommend that he go to a home with older children to prevent any misunderstandings or unintentional accidents. He’s picked up an odd fetish in his current foster home for sunflower heads, so gardeners beware.

He’s fairly versatile and would do well in a physically active family but would do just as well in a more relaxed family setting. As with all of our dogs, we recommend taking him through a basic obedience class to continue to build both his skill set and your relationship as a team.
