Honey still does enjoy keeping her personality a mystery to new humans bit warms up quickly with the help of her favorite liver treats She is worth the bit of coaxing!
Honey is looking for a human to call her own for forever, a couch to take afternoon naps on, and a furry sibling to stay active with. If you check all these boxes, apply to adopt Honey!
Honey’s Old Bio:
Honey lives up to her name and is just the sweetest girl. Honey came from a spotty background and we are not 100% sure what her previous lives looked like. What we do know is that Honey is in better hands and is ready to start her new life full of love and happiness.
Honey is a very timid girl. She is nervous to make new friends and hides behind her foster mom like a young child on their first day at a new school. With just a bit of time, positive encouragement, and a handful of her favorite liver treats, Honey warms up and graciously asks for as many pets and kisses as her new friends are willing to give!
Honey was said to not get along with cats but that is not a behavior we have seen at GRRF. Honey is currently being fostered in a home with 3 kitty friends and she leaves them to do their own thing and has yet to bother them. Honey is not a big fan of fast-paced, high-energy dogs and prefers her furry friends to be on the calmer side like herself. She would do best in a home without other dogs or another dog that will understand her boundaries.
Honey is significantly overweight and will need the help of her new family to keep her on a weight loss plan to ensure she will continue to thrive for many years to come! Honey currently weighs close to 35 lbs but ideally should be between 25-30 lbs. GRRF was told that Honey was not potty trained but she has not had any accidents since joining us! She does great in her kennel and has been an easygoing guest in her foster home.
