2 yr old Lab Mix

Amber came to us from one of the villages with all 10 of her puppies (AKA: The Chip Litter). With the puppies weaned and available for adoption, she is now free to start looking for her own furever home.

Amber has had a rough start to life and is just looking for someone to love her. She does well with other dogs with proper introductions. Her previous foster home even had cats and although she showed interest, she had no real inclinations to chase them.

When she originally came in, Amber was extremely malnourished and could still stand to gain a few more pounds. Sometimes, she takes it upon herself to scavenge, which we suspect is something she picked up because of her previous living conditions. She will need someone with patience, willing to work with her on her house manners. If monitored though and asked to leave something alone, she will, just not without a gentle reminder.

Amber is potty trained, and we have started introducing her to kennel training. She has proven herself to be quite the Velcro dog though and she finds it absolutely devastating to be left in her kennel. Again, just something that she’ll need additional practice at.

Amber has been the most attentive mother with the sweetest personality and she is so ready for a permanent home to call her own. Her energy levels have swayed more towards the couch potato, but she does love to run around and have fun too. If she sounds like the dog for you, please apply and come meet her.
