Akira is a sweet & gentle soul looking to love and be loved! When Akira first joined us at GRRF, she was very timid and scared of her new environment. Akira’s foster has done a great job at slowly but surely showing her the world and how *not* scary it is! Akira has really come out of her shell and has shown us just how sweet and loving she can be!

Akira has been traveling to the office during the day and has loved all the extra attention from her new “coworkers,” especially the little ones! Akira is still shy at first and definitely still takes a minute to warm up to new things but with each new person she meets, she is becoming more confident! She quickly becomes besties with anyone offering free cheese!

In the home, Akira has been wonderful! She is a certified space heater and professional couch cuddler! Her dream family would make time every day to ensure she got her daily requirement of cuddles in! Akira’s other favorite things include walks around the neighborhood, car rides, and butt scratches! Akira is good friends with her mellow foster sister and would love the company of another chill dog in her new home!

Akira can struggle with being left alone, she loves her people too much to be away from them for too long. She does great when left in her kennel with a buddy nearby so that she knows all is well! Akira’s perfect setup is her kennel in the same room that her buddy is in, either free roaming or also kenneled! When this setup is followed, Akira does just fine!

Akira is a big love bug looking for someone to who will be her world! She has unlimited love to give and is ready to share it all with you! If you have plenty of time to cuddle, love long walks around the neighborhood, and have some spare cheese to share, consider adopting Akira!
